In the days before instant communication and global travel was as easy for the common man, I found myself, with some trepidation as to what lay ahead, on the other side of the world far from loved ones. I need not have worried for Bill swiftly put this 'Limey' at ease and made sure I felt at home and guided me through the vagaries of not only Hun life but life in America. The greatest compliment I can provide is that this was all done without fuss as he carefully nurtured, not just for me, all the young lives he oversaw. An early lesson in leadership style, a style that I have hopefully followed in the roles I have subsequently held. My Hun year still stands as an important milestone in establishing the person I have come to be. Thanks for being part of it Bill - enjoy what will hopefully be a long and enjoyable retirement ahead.
