I remember freshman geometry with Mr. McQuade like it was yesterday. Mr. McQuade had the ability to relate to his students and figure out a way to help engineer success for each one of us. I also admired his compassion and manner in which he treated each student with respect. Although I never played baseball at Hun, there is not doubt that the legacy he leaves behind includes the development of one of the most respected baseball programs in the county, state, and region. Bill McQuade's teams always played with heart and intensity but never at the expense of good sportsmanship and respect for the game. A true role model both in and out of the classroom, Bill is one of the few icons in independent school education. As I entered the world of independent school education, I found myself turning to Bill whenever I had a question and he always would make time for me. As Hun alumnus, Ed Cervone used to say, "He's one of the good guys". Congratulations on an outstanding career, Bill! You will be greatly missed.
